The Xcel energy Foundation is giving a matching grant of $3,000 in conjunction with the Lubbock Area Foundation to the Levelland Area Endowment and two other affiliates to promote strong communities. Levelland Area Endowment was presented with $1,000 of that generous donation at the local Xcel Energy office in Levelland yesterday. It is the philosophy of Xcel to be a community partner with the Levelland Area Endowment to promote growth in the community by giving back to Levelland making it a better place to learn, work and live.
Levelland Area Endowment, an Affiliate of the Lubbock Area Foundation is receiving matching funds from Xcel Energy and the Lubbock Area Foundation. These matching funds are leveraging the Levelland Area Endowments community grants program funds. This year the Levelland Area endowment will give away $12,000 through the community grants program. The Levelland Area Endowment gives these funds to improve the quality of life throughout Levelland and Hockley County. The Lubbock Area Foundation is supporting these efforts to serve the community’s needs by helping to provide these matching funds. Community leaders from the Levelland Area endowment ensure that funds are spent in the community to have the most impact and to create a more vibrant, viable community.
The Lubbock Area Foundation was founded in 1981, and serves communities across the South Plains Region (15 counties). Lubbock Area Foundation was established as a vital service for the region to provide opportunities to build community endowments which serves the community needs now and in the future.
