Levelland Xcel Energy Customers Report Power Outage

Customers of Xcel Energy in Levelland experienced a power outage this morning at approximately 7:55am and lasting approximately 30 minutes. The outage was reported to affect well over 1000 customers in the Country Club area, University Heights Area, South Plains College, Clubview Drive area and all the way out to the Levelland High School.

According to Xcel Energy’s website they had approximately 12 separate outages affecting nearly 3000 customers at one point this morning, however crews were able to get the problem fixed and power restored to the majority of the customers in less than 30 minutes. Power was completely restored to all customers in approximately 20 minutes.

We also know that Brownfield in Terry County experienced an outage affecting the whole town, their power was restored by 8:30am as well. Power is also out in Lamb county for the communities of Amherst, Springlake, Earth and Olton. As of 9:30am this morning only a small number of Xcel Energy Customers in this region were without power.
