Levelland Intermediate Student to Participate in Regional Spelling Bee

Levelland Intermediate School Student Hannah Quick won the Levelland ISD District Spelling Bee at the Middle School.

She won the competition after correctly spelling the words yield and hawthorn.

Capitol Elementary School student Fernanda Fernandez was the runner up.

Quick will now compete in the 64th annual Regional Spelling Bee March 7 in Lubbock, Fernandez will attend as the alternate.

Retired educator Elizabeth Holder pronounced the words, while LaGayle Stphenson and Robin Riley were the judges. Laurie Williams was the Dictionary official.
