Levelland City Secretary and Human Resources Director Beth Walls has received her re-certification through the International Public Management Association for Human Resources. The organization is the leading public sector human resource organization in the world and represents the interests of human resource professionals at all levels and strives to promote excellence in HR management.
City Manager Rick Osburn praised Walls for her accomplishment and said “She is an excellent example of the conscientious, professional employees that work for the City of Levelland.”
Walls is one of approximately 12,000 Human Resources professionals worldwide who have enhanced their careers with an IPMA-CP designation in the 15 year history of the certification process. To be eligible for certification, a candidate’s experience is considered at the professional/managerial level and must meet education/experience requirements. Walls has a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management, 20 plus years of Human Resource experience and 7 years of public sector HR experience which qualified her for this designation.
She was first certified in 2011 and has been working on her re-certification since that time receiving credit for attending conferences in the HR field, facilitating training sessions in Human Resources locally and for the South Plains Chapter of the Texas Municipal Clerks Association as well as initiating innovative ideas in the area of Human Resources for the City of Levelland.
