On Thursday, April 10th, nine Hockley County 4-H members competed in the District 2 4-H Fashion Show. The 4-H Fashion Show is the recognition event to showcase members who have excelled in clothing projects and have exhibited skills in the application of knowledge of fibers and fabrics to wardrobe selection, clothing construction or comparison shopping, fashion interpretation and understanding of style, and modeling and presentation of themselves and their garments.
Pictured are members who participated in the Fashion Show along with their results: (l-r) Madelynn Isbell, Kennedy Wood (2nd place Intermediate Buying Dressy), Taylor Chase (2nd place Junior Buying Dressy), BaLeigh Pugh (2nd Senior Buying Business/Interview), Machalya Parkinson (1st place Junior Buying Casual), Mckenzie Lee (1st Junior Construction Theatre/Costume) and Lexie Lee (1st Junior Construction Dressy). Also participating, but not pictured, are Chessa Wisdom (3rd Buying Special Interest) and Adaline Utley (1st Intermediate Buying Special Interest). In addition, Kimberly Albus assisted in the program as a member of the South Plains 4-H and Texas 4-H Council.
