Littlefield Citizens Urged to Sign Up for City’s CodeRED System

The City of Littlefield is urging citizens who have not signed up for CodeRED, the city-wide notification system, to do so as soon as possible.

Michael Jordan, the city’s emergency management coordinator said the messages from CodeRED are solely directed to Littlefield residents for emergency or important information to help keep them safe and informed. CodeRED is a city-wide mass alert system for the City of Littlefield. The service is only available to those with a Littlefield Zip Code.

You may sign up by logging onto the City of Littlefield website at and click on the CodeRED link in the upper right corner or you may call 385-6694 for assistance. Users will create an account in order to add their information to CodeRED’s database. City officials point out that your information will only be used for notification purposes. Citizens are encouraged to register their cell phone numbers in the system as well.

Officials say their are 2 types of notifications, emergency and general.
