Early Voting Starts Today for March 4 Primary Election

Early voting for the March 4 primary election starts today.  In Hockley County the polling locations are as follows.

     Hockley County Courthouse–County Clerks Office–9am to 5pm Monday – Friday
     Anton City Hall–8am to 12Noon and 1pm to 5pm Monday-Friday
     Sundown City Hall–8am to 5pm Monday-Friday
     Ropesville Senior Citizens Center–8am to 4pm Monday-Friday

Applications to vote by mail are due in Hockley County Clerks office no later than close of business on Friday, February 21.  All ballots by mail are due back to the County Clerks office no later than 7pm on election day March 4.

This reminder that ALL Texas voters must show a photo ID to vote in any election in Texas unless you meet one of the few exemptions including:

     If you vote by mail you do not have to show an ID
     If you have a documented disability, you may apply for a permanent exemption in your voter registrar’s office. 

One of the required forms of ID must be shown–they include……

Texas Drivers License
Texas Personal Identification Card
Texas Concealed Handgun License
US Passport book or card
US Military Identification with Photo
US Citizenship Certificate or Certificate of Naturalization

If you do not have one of the above forms of ID you must go to your local drivers license office and obtain a State of Texas Election Certificate.
