City of Levelland Receives Recognition for Recycling Program

20140217_191935A representative of Cooperative Teamwork and Recycling Assistance Program based out of Austin was in Levelland on Monday to present a recognition certificate to the City of Levelland for the recycling efforts through 2013.

In 2013 the City of Levelland Residents recycled 47.3 Tons, an increase of 46,000 pounds from 2012.

This amount helped save an estimated 805 Trees, 194,000 Kilowatt hours of Electricity, 331,547 gallons of water, 142 cubic yards of landfill space, 2,841 pounds of Air Pollution and saved an estimated $1,657 in Landfill Fees.
