Hockley County Native-Maegan Hembree still missing 1 month later

Hockley County Sheriff’s office continues to work leads in the missing person case of 30 year old Maegan Hembree of Smyer.

Tuesday marked one month since Maegan went missing. Hockley County Sheriff’s deputies say they are continuing to follow tips leading their investigation to east Texas.

The Smyer native was last seen on the evening of February 26, when she was on her way to a friend’s home, but family members say Maegan never made it. Approximately a week after her disappearance, police found the car Maegan was driving at a west Lubbock apartment, since the the Texas Rangers have been called in to assist in the case.

Investigators are in contact with the family and continue to work toward the goal of bringing Maegan home to her son and family. Maegan is 30 years old, standing approximately 4’11” tall and weighs approximately 120 lbs. She reportedly has a Houston Astros star tattoo on the back of her neck, a tattoo on her left shoulder and her lower left leg. She was last seen wearing pajama pants and a hooded sweatshirt.
