KLVT would like to congratulate Levelland Nursing and Rehabilitation. The facility located on West Avenue in Levelland recently was recognized with a 5-star quality rating by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid, a part of the US Department of Health and Human Services. There was a total of 3 facilities in a 50 mile radius of Levelland recognized. Administrator, Danny House said “it is significant that a facility in a small West Texas city has a national ranking like this.”
The rating was based on a survey that looked at such criteria as staffing and quality of care. The facility, has approximately 70 full and part time employees, several who have put many years of service into the facility. The nursing home offers in-house physical and occupational therapy, as well as speech therapy. It also provides quality food for the 60-plus residents who call the facility home. It was pointed out that food service has to be quality to get that high of rating.
The Levelland Nursing and Rehab has earned other awards and recognition recently as well. Last fall, The American Health Care Association presented the home with a Bronze National Quality award for its commitment to quality. The facility also conducts internal surveys of residents and their families each year and for the last 2 years they have had an overall 98% satisfaction rate. Levelland Nursing and Rehab is owned and operated by Sava SeniorCare of Atlanta, GA. The administrator is Danny House, Brooke Barrett is the director of nursing, Barry Royal is an occupational therapist with the facility and Jim Ellerd is the rehabilitation program manager.
