Littlefield EMS will be having a fund raiser on Sunday, October 2 in the Lamb County Ag and Community center. They will serve a hamburger lunch from 11:30 to 2pm for a cost of $5 per person. The menu will consist of hamburgers and all the trimmings, chips and a drink. Donations will also be accepted. Take out plates will also be available. They also will have a bake auction offering homemade cakes, pies and cookies for people to bid on. All proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the Volunteer Association to help purchase life saving medical equipment. Littlefield EMS was started in 1987 as a city department with 5 volunteers and 3 staff members. They started with 1 used ambulance and acquired a 2nd unit in the spring of 1988. Today they have 3 Type I ambulances and a first response unit. All of the units are licensed as basic life support with mobile intensive care unit capabilities. They try to staff 2 paid and 2 volunteers 24 hours a day.
19th Congressional District Representative Randy Neugebauer has announced that he will have representatives from his office in Earth on Wednesday, September 28 from 2pm to 3pm at the Earth City Hall. You are invited to stop by and visit with staff and share your ideas, concerns and feedback. Representatives will be available to assist with veterans benefits, social security concerns and many other issues.
The Littlefield Early risers Lions Club will be serving their annual chicken fried steak dinner on Friday night, September 30 from 5pm to 7:30pm in the Lamb County Ag and Community Center prior to the Wildcat football game. Adult tickets are $8 and tickets for children 10 years old and younger are $5 each. Carryouts are also available.
